From the lush forest of the Atherton Tablelands in the north, to the stunning beaches and islands that make up the Whitsundays and not forgetting the Great Barrier Reef with its plethora of sealife and beautiful corals, Queensland, Australia arguably has it all. 

It is also home to some vibrant cities (think Cairns, Brisbane and Surfer's Paradise), which have some fantastic luxury accommodation but there's also plenty in areas you may not have considered. 

This week The Telegraph have featured some of the best new luxury hotel options in the "Sunshine State", and by the sounds of it, they're hard to disagree with.
