Plus, a new wave of adventure style cruises and destinations is encouraging a younger audience of 30+s. Fancy exploring the arctic, spotting elephants as you cruise down the Chobe River in Africa, or even partying the night away in the multitude of clubs and cocktail bars on board? – It’s not all knitting classes and boules!

Also, the new trend of short cruises from 3 to 7 days offers a great opportunity to sample what cruising is all about.

For those with itchy feet, there are also thousands of shore excursions to choose from on days in port. Plus, you get to visit more than one place on your holiday! Slightly different from the usual land hotel package…

FACT: If you want to relax and not watch what you eat or worry about exercise then go for it, we wouldn’t blame you! However more and more of us want to strike a healthy balance whilst away, and contrary to popular belief, a cruise is the ideal answer. From specialty spa restaurants, ‘trans-fat-free’ dining rooms and sushi bars, to top of the range gyms, outdoor running tracks and endless body blitzing exercise classes, you’ll really have no excuse.
