The Ultimate in Mens Fashion?

From cufflinks to credit card dispensers, Roland Iten Mechanical Luxury has long been producing innovative takes on objects most wouldn’t bat an eyelid at. After gaining fame for his self-adjusting belt buckle back in 2003, Iten is releasing special edition versions to commemorate the Mille Miglia, an Italian motoring event featuring vintage cars.

The mechanics are ingenious, and I won’t bore you with the true ins and outs, so in short, the buckle works by expanding or contracting, removing the need for the wearer to adjust it, achieved through a plethora of components including movable roller bearings, plates, levers and the patented “double ardillon” which ensures a tight grip of the belt’s leather strap. This buckle can move 35mm, a figure chosen as it relates to the ‘two-thumb’ measurement utilised by Savile Row Tailors.

Just four of the new editions have been produced, each has been engraved with Brescia, Padova, Roma or Bologna, all of which are the main cities featured in the Mille Miglia, and is individually numbered and completed with a hand signed certificate by Roland Iten.

Pricing is certainly not for the faint hearted, the four exclusive Mille Miglia buckles on the market for £21,650 and others priced from £14,300 to £25,600.
