The Magic Of A Disney Cruise

The Magic Of A Disney Cruise

By Josh Hill

From the start the Disney cruise is a festive environment, with the Sail-Away celebration starting the first day with music, dance and the opportunity to meet some of the famous Disney characters. It is the classic Disney experience that captures all of the magic of Disneyland Florida and takes it with you as you explore the rest of America. As you might expect, a Disney cruise is packed with activities for children, but it is also an adult friendly experience and a great way to spend quality time together as a family.

Entertainment is in no shortage on board, and most people will want to start by exploring the many different pools, water coasters and play zones designed for children of all ages. For a more relaxed experience there are a range character experiences like the Royal Court Royal Tea where your children get to meet some of the famous Disney characters. There are teen only zones full of activities for older children, a range of youth clubs, arcades and the pride of the ship, its original live shows and full length musicals.

There are also dedicated youth coordinators to ensure that children of all ages are safe and happy at all times, giving you the peace of mind to enjoy the ship’s several adult only zones; The Cove pool and bar, an exclusive spa and fitness centre, a series of night clubs and two sophisticated Italian and French inspired restaurants. There are a range of family dining options on board too, from the formal grandeur of the Royal Palace dining hall to the numerous cafés and buffets around the ship, but due to the high demand customers are limited to a set number of pre-booked dining times for some of the big restaurants.

The suites are designed around families; spacious and open but with enough privacy to make the trip comfortable for everyone. The Royal Suite is the most luxurious, a spacious and lavishly decorated area with its own private balcony and private concierge service. As you would expect each room comes with a large range of Disney films to keep children entertained while you relax. Of course what sets the cruise apart from other Disney experiences is the shore excursions.  Spend a day with sled huskies in Alaska, explore in the adventure karts, horse trek through national parks or swim with dolphins in Mexico. These family activities are the perfect way to spend quality time together, so join Mickey and Minnie and make lasting memories.
