The Game Fair and The Times announce Partnership

The Game Fair today announces its media partnership with national quality newspaper The Times. The Game Fair will be held at Hatfield House, Hertfordshire from 28 to 30 July. To celebrate the partnership, The Times, will be launching a huge competition to win lifetime ownership of a fishing lake and Orvis equipment and goods.

James Gower, Managing Director of The Game Fair, said of the partnership: “This is fantastic news for The Game Fair. It is the first time we will have a media partner that takes an active role in the show, and The Times will be part of the fabric of the event. It is also a fantastic opportunity to broaden the reach of The Game Fair. The Times has a huge and loyal readership, both in urban and rural areas, which will give The Game Fair the opportunity to bring the countryside to a far wider audience.”

Times columnist and interviewer Alice Thomson will also host a debate at The Game Fair with panel speakers from the National Farmers Union, covering traditional and pioneering areas of farming.

Times+ subscribers will have the unique opportunity to attend an exclusive event run by Gregg Wallace, whose Shot to Pot restaurant will be making a welcome return to the 2017 Game Fair after its popularity last year.

Catherine Newman, Chief Marketing Officer of The Times & The Sunday Times said: “We are really excited to be partnering with The Game Fair to bring a whole host of exciting content, events and star names to this year’s festival. We are looking forward to bringing our journalists to the Fair and to being part of something with such a strong heritage.”

Details of the competition that will see The Times, in association with Orvis and The Game Fair, give away this fantastic, life changing prize will be promoted in the paper and on radio throughout July.

In all, the initiative establishes a heavy weight multiple six figure campaign. Along side other impressive and important media partnerships such as titles from Future publishing, Time Inc. Aceville, Archant, and Hearst. As well as membership association titles including The CLA Land and Business Magazine. Analysts suggest awareness and profile for the event and by extension, rural and countryside issues, is now on an unprecedented scale, recognising The Game Fairs pivotal role.
