Loewe SoundVision

All-in-one music systems don't get much better than this. It can handle CDs, iPod docking (but not iPads) internet and FM radio, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi streaming.  Everything is controlled via its user-customisable 7.5in multitouch screen, accompanied by six speakers, including two subwoofers.  A remote control is on hand, too, if being lazy is important.  Loewe claims it offers "the best sound and design quality worldwide from an all-in-one audio system".

Bang and Olufsen BeoVision 10-46

This ticks all the luxurious gadget boxes – it's shiny, expensive and only 500 units have been made, rendering it a limited edition item.  Its colour scheme goes by the name ‘Chantrelle’ and also adorns its easel stand, designed to replicate the impression of a painting leaning against the wall.  If you're feeling really flush, you can throw in the £2,600 BeoLab 6002 speakers to complete the whole set-up.

Going from concept to reality, this interchangeable lens camera system set to take on the Micro Four Thirds and other hybrid systems of this world.  With the new X-Trans CMOS sensor rearranging the way colours are detected, you can expect better quality images, while other specs to have you chomping at the bit include 1080p video recording, Hybrid Multi View-finder and the choice of a trio of high quality Macro lenses.

Having recently swallowed up Sony Ericsson, Sony released it first smartphones with the Xperia S the pick of the new handsets.  Running on Android 2.3 (upgradeable to Android 4.) the Xperia S boasts and iPhone-like design with a 4.3-inch screen that comes loaded with Sony’s Bravia screen technology.  Unsurprisingly, there’s a 12-megapixel camera joined by a 1080p HD video recording capabilities which all runs on a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor.
