The New Apple iPhone 5

The New Apple iPhone 5

By Jenni Hayre

From the time Apple first graced modern day technology, as a brand with innovative electronic gadgets, they have proved to be extremely popular.  Since then they have dominated the ever-growing technology market, as consumers eagerly await the new arrivals in technological developments.  This time, smart-phone enthusiasts anticipate the latest version of the illustrious iPhone - The iPhone 5.

In a matter of days the iPhone 5 will be readily available to purchase here in the UK or will be ready to be picked up/delivered for those avid iPhone fanatics who opted to pre-order themselves an early Christmas present.

With an all glass and aluminium frame the iPhone 5 oozes charm and chic.  It is arguably the thinnest and lightest iPhone to have ever been to date and boasts even more features than those found in the previous versions according to Apple.

The iPhone 5 has a unique 4-inch retina display with integrated touch technology, plus an 8 megapixel iSight camera with panorama, reduced motion blur and dynamic low-light shooting mode to capture stunning photos in all circumstances.  You can make a 1080p HD video recording whilst also taking photos so you never have to worry about missing life’s special moments.

The main appeal of this sixth generation iPhone is its claim to ultra-fast wireless technology.  The iPhone 5 can connect to more networks around the world meaning digital content can be browsed and downloaded at an incredible speed, than ever before.

Advanced and improved software means the iPhone 5 will be host to iOS 6, a new era in the world’s mobile operating system, bringing with it a wide range of features and built-in apps.  Take for example: the new precisely detailed and designed maps helping you along every step of the way, Siri now being capable of understanding more languages and better social networking integration.

Unlike its predecessors, this iPhone will be accompanied with an all-digital reversible Lightning connector and special Apple EarPods.  These newly designed earphones were made with the aid of 3D ear models to form a universal shape to suit all kinds of people enhancing comfort and durability.
With a new A6 chip, Apple claim this allows the iPhone 5 to have a faster CPU performance, twice as fast when compared to the A5 chip.

Having stated the pros of the iPhone 5 it’s only fair to highlight its most distinguished flaw.  This being the crucial element of any phone or electronic device - the battery life.  Then again battery consumption in smart phones have to be compromised considering how much they offer in terms of web access and browsing,  camera and video resolution, apps etc.

There’s no denying the hype around this latest Apple product has been substantial, so now all that’s left to do is wait for the unveiling of the highly anticipated iPhone 5 and expect to hear that once again Apple’s iPhone sales will have rocketed come Friday.
