A Family Holiday

A Family Holiday

Dubai’s rapid rise to its position as a prominent luxury destination has made it a dawning star in the hospitality industry, Western amenities and attractions complimenting its already robust historical districts to turn it into a prime family getaway.  Best visited between November and March to avoid the extreme weathers that batter it during the summer, Dubai is an ideal destination for families looking to enjoy luxuries fit for a sultan.

Ambitious and extensive building have turned it into a bustling metropolis with tourist attractions that can please all ages; Mammoth water-parks Wild Wadi and Aquaventure offer family fun for all ages, whilst older audiences seeking a more Arabian exclusive activity may be drawn to watch the incredible spectacle of camel racing.

In Dubai western stores meet traditional Arabian markets to make a truly deluxe shopping experience.  Home to the biggest shopping centre in the world and boasting glorious souks(traditional markets), designer stores and a rainbow of spice markets, Dubai guarantees a sensory overload that will get mouths watering and bank accounts quivering.

Travellers will find no lack of culture; Dubai embraces its heritage with celebrations, preserved historical districts and museums throughout the emirate, as well as the long-running and extremely popular ‘Jumana – Secret of the Desert’ show which celebrates Arabian history and folklore, with stunning special effects and actors that will brighten any night.  Elsewhere, the Global Village is a living microcosm of other diverse cultures from across the globe, a cultural theme park with a miscellany of themed rides, restaurants and shows that offer a flavour of home or a handy taste of potential future holiday destinations.

Tourists looking to escape the crowds can enjoy a spot of Desert Safari, being whisked away to the champagne sands of the surrounding desert, much the same now as it was hundreds of years ago.  Out in the expansive desert holidaymakers can enjoy a traditional camel ride along the desert plains, or embrace the more contemporary pastime of sandboarding, an adrenaline pumping race across the dunes.

It isn’t all deserts and scorching sun however, Dubai is also a watersports paradise with Jet-ski, yacht and even charter boat hire all plentiful along the coast.  Taking global watersports highlights like scuba diving, parasailing and surfing and combining them with its own personal embellishments, such as river tours abroad a traditional Abra or festivity filled party boat trips around the Gulf coast, taking to the water is a popular option for residents looking to get away from the city and enjoy the serene waters that caress the gorgeous coast.

Dubai’s platinum beaches are among the finest in the world, its soft sands giving way to warm, shallow waters which are perfect for watersports (both motorised and not.)  Alternatively sun seekers can relax and lap up the rays, cooling off with a paddle in the Persian Gulf if the temperatures get too much.
