Although Athens is an outstanding destination, Greece has more to offer than its capital.  Greek Travelling offer a fantastic selection of land tours that will open up a world of hidden wonders.

The Peloponnese peninsula (in the south part of the Greek mainland just 2 hours away from Athens) invites you to discover the place where the Mycenaean civilisation flourished in the late Bronze Age and the expedition for the Trojan War begun.  Visit Nafplion, the first capital of Greece, and walk around the old town, a preserved monument of neoclassical architecture.  Unwind at a small sandy beach and swim in the crystal clear waters of the Saronic Gulf.  Not far, the ancient theatre of Epidaurus, built in 340 BC, still welcomes you to this day to enjoy a Greek tragedy theatrical play and experience its amazing acoustics.

Take a journey through time to experience running on the ancient stadium in Olympia where the first Olympic Games were held in 776 BC.  Explore the countryside to discover the products of the land of Elis such as the pure virgin olive oil and the wonderful wine.  Enjoy home cooked meals and take back with you the traditional Greek cuisine recipes.
