A Journey with Prague Arts Tour

A Journey with Prague Arts Tour

As a child in communist Czechoslovakia, Prague Arts Tour founder Jana Preti longed to discover what was hidden beyond the horizon.  To quell this curiosity, she would browse geography textbooks and envisage her journeys until the success of the Velvet Revolution in 1989; a dramatic societal transformation took place allowing Jana to travel and live for a while in Australia and Spain.  However, Jana longed to share her adoration of Prague’s beauty and art, and her passion for the cultural and historical trials and accomplishments of her people.

It is this enthusiastic philosophy which drives Prague Arts Tour.  With 20 years’ experience, Jana has crafted unparalleled programmes which immerse visitors in Czech history and everyday life, as well as exploring magnificent monuments.  Each tour is unique and directed by the visitor however, organised tours last for a half or full day with a coffee interlude where Jana will enlighten you to the city’s most lavish cultural experiences including, stunning restaurants, classical music, opera, theatre and ballet. Truly gracious and flexible, Arts Tour also offer supplementary services such as airport transfers and arranging tickets for different culture performances.  Overall, it is the companionship of a passionate explorer which categorises Arts Tour’s as exceptional.

Prague is a mosaic of artistic styles, from classical medieval structures and grand Baroque sculptures to striking Art Nouveau designs and wondrous architectural UNESCO World Heritage Sites (including Český Krumlov andKutná Hora.) Culturally, the capital’s Jewish Town has some of the finest preserved Judaist monuments in Europe, including the 16thCentury Pinkas Synagogue and the cemetery used between the 15th and 18th Centuries. Both contrived by authoritarianism and zealous revolutionaries, the Modern History tour explores Prague’s multifaceted past and, to get a true taste of the city’s heritage, traverse the city onboard a marvellous Vintage Car with a glass of exquisite champagne.

The Culinary Tourin Karlín tour brings together a gourmet experience and the chance to explore a historic quarter of Prague. Learn about everyday life, eat the food Czech grandmothers would make and discover the changing flavours of Prague.
