Adventure on the Nile

Even though it is common to automatically connect the Nile with Egypt, the world’s longest river’s water resources are shared between a total of 11 African countries, including Uganda.  East Africa’s adventure and extreme sports capital – Jinja – is a Ugandan town along Lake Victoria near the source of the Nile where visitors will find a 50 kilometre stretch of the river that is commercially seen as a rafting hotspot.

The Jinja region is a white water rafting and kayaking heaven since it offers a vast array of channels to explore with a markedly different character – from stretches of the river suitable for novice kayakers and rafters to some of the world’s finest grade five and six rapids, favourites amongst adrenaline seekers from across the globe.  Experience Jinja and the wilderness of Nile by spending an adrenaline-packed day of exciting white water escapades - the rafting and kayaking trips include plenty of routes and combinations of activities making sure that everyone will find the right adventure in accordance to their stage of confidence and preferences.  Some of the combination-deal packages offer additional activities such as jet boating, paddle-boarding and bungee jumping.

For individuals who need to recharge their batteries after all the rafting or kayaking action or simply tolerate more relaxed activities, the White Nile offers different cruise packages which include delicious Ugandan buffet, ice cold Nile beer that is produced in Holland Park with watertapped from the river, and breathtaking vistas of the magnificent river and lush Ugandan nature.  Observing the picturesque jungle islands and the heart-melting African sky from the water will provide you with pristine landscapes and refined relaxation.
