Summer Excursions
 
The glorious weather of Bermuda in the summer time lends itself perfectly to jungle trekking, cave exploration and water-based adventures.  With Hidden Gems of Bermuda guests can blend activities such as cave exploration and swimming in a cave swimming adventure, where they can investigate Bermuda’s fascinating subterranean landscape, or otherwise venture through the luscious jungle and participate in thrilling activities like cliff jumping into crystalline waters – the perfect way to cool off after a long hike!
 
A land rich in awe-inspiring national beauty, Bermuda has many facets for tourists to discover and provides many incredible panoramas, the highlight of which is St. David’s Lighthouse, which boasts a balcony with a view that is sure to take your breath away.  And then, from the lofty peaks of the island to the ocean deep – visit one of Bermuda’s premier snorkelling locations and swim with tropical fish around a preserved coral reef island.  There is also the option to simply sunbathe on the secluded beach or wade in the shallows to your heart’s content.
 
The Summer Excursion comprises of a variety of tempting highlights for you to encounter during your day, which is capped off with a visit to a family owned and operated ice cream parlour where incredibly, all 30 delicious flavours are made in-house following traditional methods to ensure that your day ends on a sweet note.  Each client on this all-inclusive tour will be presented with a backpack containing all the necessary equipment for the best experience possible; lunch, snacks, two water bottles, snorkelling gear, a safety helmet, a flashlight and an umbrella is all provided, allowing you to worry about nothing but exploring the best of Bermuda’s summer attractions. 
 
Winter Excursions
 
Don’t let the thought of ‘winter’ put you off; spring-like temperatures prevail in Bermuda from December to late March, providing optimum conditions for sightseeing.  The water may be a little too chilly for swimming, but the crisp air makes it perfect for exploring this lush land of verdant greenery.  All clients are provided with the necessary equipment and refreshments to make for a stress-free day of discovery.
 
Your excursion begins in Bermuda’s one and only jungle – resting on top of an extensive underground caving system, the opportunities for thrilling escapades here are endless.  Once you have sated your desire for adventure, it is time to journey on to the outskirts Hamilton, Bermuda’s capital (located in the parish of Pembroke.) Crossing a wooden bridge suspended 20 feet above a moat, you will arrive at the imposing Fort Hamilton.  The ramparts are surrounded by cannons and other military ammunition, but the real draw of the fort is the incredible views of the city’s rooftops.  The actual heart of Fort Hamilton is found deep underground; the long, burrowing tunnels were originally used as secret passageways and lead down to the 30 foot wide moat.  The moat has been converted into a splendid tropical garden, home to a range of endemic plants, birds, frogs and lizards. 
 
The last stop on your whirlwind tour is to the Southlands, better known as ‘The Vines’.  This 37 acre estate is filled with beautiful garden pools, woodlands, a private beach, limestone quarries and the island’s largest banyan grove; step back in time as you explore the historic house and its beautiful surroundings, and descend into a world of solitude and peace.
