Dubai – The Ultimate Destination

Dubai – The Ultimate Destination

By John Hart

Extravagant, materialistic, well publicized and quite incredibly luxurious, this small corner of the Middle East is a dream come true for every luxury traveller.

There are only three seven-star hotels in the world; Dubai is home to one the Burj Al Arab Hotel. While the other two 7 star hotels are found in Abu Dhabi, Emirates Palace and Milan, Town House Galleria also known as the Seven Stars Galleria.

Dubai Fountains

Set on the 30-acre Burj Khalifa Lake, the fountain shoots water jets as high as 500 ft, equivalent to that of a 50-storey building.  The fountain is 900 ft long and has five circles of varying sizes and two central arcs.

The Dubai Fountain performs daily, with the performance repertoire including Sama Dubai; Baba Yetu, an award-winning song in Swahili; the Arab world’s top-selling dance number Shik Shak Shok; and the signature piece of world-renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, Con te partiro (Time to Say Goodbye).

Burj Khalifa

The world's tallest building, a wonder to the eyes, a stunning work of art and an incomparable feat of engineering the Burj Khalifa is all that and more.

More than just the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa is an unprecedented example of international cooperation, symbolic beacon of progress, and an emblem of the new, dynamic and prosperous Middle East.  The Burj has an outdoor observation deck, named At the Top on the 124th floor. The observation deck features the Behold Telescope, which allows visitors to view the surrounding landscape in real-time.

The Tower of Arabs (Burj Al Arab)

In its relatively short tenure on the Dubai coastline this legendary and symbolic hotel has attracted international attention and awe, ensuring its place as one of the most photographed structures in the world, and consistently voted the world’s most luxurious hotel.  Designed to resemble a billowing sail, Burj Al Arab soars to a height of 321 metres, dominating the Dubai skyline.  Illuminated at night by choreographed lighting representing water and fire – Burj Al Arab is simply individual, inspired, impressive.

This all-suite luxury hotel in Dubai reflects the very finest that the world has to offer.  With a discreet in-suite check-in, private reception desk on every floor and a brigade of highly trained butlers, you can be assured of the ultimate in personal service throughout your stay.

Aquaventure Water Park

Dubai is synonymous with grand, larger-than-life attractions and Aquaventure Dubai is no exception. This water park in Dubai is quite possibly the most ambitious in the world, set at the top of one of its most amazing manmade constructions, Palm Jumeirah Island.

The Palm Islands have captured the world’s imagination.  All three, each in the shape of a palm tree, are visible from space with the naked eye.  Aquaventure Dubai is the crowning touch of Palm Jumeirah and has become one of the city’s most popular attractions.  You’ll find Aquaventure at Atlantis Dubai—a fabulous, beachside hotel and resort complex in a city full of fantastic, upscale luxury hotels.

Aquaventure Dubai is set on 2,300 feet of beachfront, so there’s plenty of opportunity for those who wish to lazily enjoy the seas of the Arabian Gulf.  Decks and platforms are found between the thrilling rides, slides, and waterscapes that make up the adventure playground of this water park in Dubai.  With nearly five million gallons of fresh water, there is something for everyone at Aquaventure Dubai.
