Seven Mile Beach

Seven Mile Beach

Seven Mile Beach is one of the many reasons why the Cayman Islands are considered the ultimate Caribbean destination, and the epitome of luxurious getaways.

Palm trees spring up out of the soft coral sand, providing balmy shade for beachgoers, as the Caribbean Sea laps gently against the crescent shaped shore.  Located on the western shore of Grand Cayman, Seven Mile Beach attracts thousands of sun worshippers and water sports enthusiasts every year, who venture to this stretch of paradise for the unspoilt beauty and unequalled facilities.

Seven Mile Beach is a popular and well developed area of Grand Cayman, and is home to most of the island’s top luxury hotels and resorts that have been built close to the sea shore.  Despite this, the beach remains public property; you could take a meandering stroll along the entire length of the shoreline if you wish.  (Despite its name, the beach is actually closer to six miles in length, owing to annual erosion and weather damage.)

The azure waters are perfect for water sports such snorkelling and scuba diving; the coast is dotted with small artificial reefs that are home to many kinds of marine life- if you are lucky, you may even spot turtles and stingrays.  Sip on a cocktail in one of the beach’s many bars, of parasail across the bay for stunning views of the ocean.  Of course, Seven Mile Beach is also the perfect place to stretch out under the radiant sun and sink into complete and harmonious bliss.

Along the coast you find a multitude of first class hotels, bars and restaurants that offer excellent service and elegant facilities.  Take advantage of what is on offer to truly make your visit to the Seven Mile Beach unforgettable.

The Caribbean Club Hotel is one of the most lavish hotels on the coast, if not on the Island.  The five star condominium hotel is truly a luxury home from home, offering guests world class dining, plush accommodation, airport pickup, impeccable service and true Caribbean hospitality.  Each three bedroom villa comes with a well stocked gourmet kitchen, private balconies and 24 hour service, with many offering excellent panoramic views across the bay.  There are also opportunities to hire personal chefs and assistants for the duration of you stay to ensure your time is as stress free and tranquil as possible.

Bar Jack The Ritz- Carlton Hotel’s beach and poolside bar is like no other.  It offers Grand Cayman’s best sunset vantage point- poised right at the widest stretch of Seven Mile Beach- allowing you to watch the sun sink beneath the clouds and relax in the intimate candlelight setting.  Bar Jack is also famed for making the “creamiest” Pina Colada in the Cayman Islands and provides weekly Wednesday night entertainment.

LUCA Restaurant offers its diners an impressive, contemporary Italian menu, served in a stylish upscale interior.  The canopied patios offer breathtaking views of the infinity pool  and beyond to the sea, making LUCA the perfect setting for romantic dinners for two, business luncheons and private parties.  An award winning wine cellar holds over four hundred varieties, with vintages that span over five decades, and the fresh and exiting cuisine makes for beachside fine dining at its best.  Reservations are recommended.
