Sophistication and Speed: Yas Marina Circuit

Opened a week prior to the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with a two- day GP2 Asia Series test, the Yas Marina circuit is the site of the annual Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.  It was designed by Herman Tilke and is based on Yas Island, which lies approximately 30 minutes away from Abu Dhabi.  Unlike any other venues in the world for motorsports, Yas Marina circuit offers shaded and fully covered grandstands and is regarded as one of the world’s most technologically- developed Formula 1 circuits.  What’s more, aside from the excitement of the Grand Prix, Yas Marina also hosts community events, entertainment and other experiences such as Drag and Yas track nights.

A trip like no other, the enthralling visual and aural spectacle of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be the highlight of your year, and to really get the most out of this visit, you may want to consider timing a yacht charter with watching the race.  Introducing the blissful pleasure that only an escape at sea can bring, you will be free from the inflexibility of a hotel stay to enjoy the sensory explosion of the Grand Prix by selecting a track- view berth.  Available berths accommodate yachts between 10 metres and 150 metres and include non- track view berths for those wishing to purchase tickets to the race.  Ensuring convenience and comfort, this is the most glamorous and immersive way to experience the atmosphere and exhilaration of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
