The Nirwana Bali Golf Club’s 18 hole championship course and luxury resort is one of the most picturesque sporting destinations in the world. One of seven sea temples on the island of Bali, it has significance both in Balinese mythology and to the many Hindus that reside in Indonesia.  Pilgrims often wade into the sea by the temple and burn copious amounts of incense in and around the monument, giving the wind that blows through seventh hole a rich, mysterious aroma and a vague orange haze.  This makes playing this particular hole a unique and memorable golfing experience, and expert golfer might even be able to make use of the scent of burning spices as a subtle hint of wind speed, intensity and direction.
