This tour is a chance to meet the locals and learn of their customs. The walk takes you to one of the highest points of the sierra, the Peninha Shrine and offers the chance to uncover the mysteries of the 16th Century Capuchos Convent. Walkers can also enjoy lunch in a rural tavern.
The Route of Romanticism

Delve into the heart of cultural Sintra and its astounding architectural monuments. Highlights include a visit to a Moorish Castle, the intimate gardens and lakes of Parque da Pena (the most important monument of the Sintra Cultural Landscape) the intricate Chalet of Countess “D’Edla and of course, the resounding romantic atmosphere of Sintra.
The Vineyard, Lord Byron, the Winery and the Fish

Beginning with a tasting at an 18th Century vineyard (the most western in Europe) your tour will journey on to the town of Colares for a delicious and traditional lunch. Your afternoon will be spent exploring Monserrate, a beautiful ‘Victorian’ garden immortalised by Lord Byron and visiting one of the oldest wine cellars in Portugal, before indulging in delicious seafood at Adraga Restaurant.
