Best Attractions in Tel Aviv – The Cultural Capital of Israel

Tel Aviv is the 2nd most populated city of Israel. Having been the host of Eurovision 2019, all eyes look towards the city.

If you’ve decided to come to Tel Aviv, then you’ll need to know what the must-sees are.

Jaffa

Jaffa is just a short walk off the coast of Tel Aviv. It is an ancient Arab port town; its stone architecture and central bazaar are excellently preserved and has been turned into restaurants and boutiques.

The flea market in Jaffa attracts many tourists due to the wild and extravagant goods that are sometimes put on sale within this historic relic.

Tel Aviv Art Museum

The Tel Aviv art museum is one of the finest in the world. Here you’ll find exhibits from some of the most famous painters in the world, ranging from Pablo Picasso to Van Gogh.

If you’re someone that appreciates the finer things in life, or has a soft spot for art, then the Tel Aviv museum of art is the ideal spot to visit for you.

The museum also routinely hosts art events and temporary exhibits.

Neve Tzedek

Neve Tzedek is officially the oldest neighborhood in Tel Aviv. Many of the buildings that have been here since the olden days have been preserved and turned into something different.

You’ll see that many of the old buildings have been turned into shops or restaurants. There’s also the arguably best ice cream shop in all of Israel—Anita—which can top off your day with a sweet treat.

The Beaches

Tel Aviv is almost defined by its gorgeous beaches; all of them are filled to the brim during the summer months. This isn’t without reason—these beaches have been voted for the best in the world by many of the world’s most prominent geography journals.

Bauhaus Center

The Bauhaus center is famous for its new-age architecture. It perfectly captures the look and feel of new Israeli architecture. Coming here will allow you a unique look at why UNESCO pronounced Tel Aviv “The White City.”

With so many attractions across the city, it can be hard to get around Tel Aviv. That’s why most tourists opt to rent a car in israrel instead of taking public transportation.
