Croatia’s Best Beaches

Croatia has truly become a paradisiacal hub in the Mediterranean, serving as the ideal place to spend a dreamlike holiday.  Its alluring setting combines Italian romanticism and the laid back lifestyle of the Caribbean, a mix that is topped with great sun, warm beaches and spectacular azure waters.

One of the most popular beaches to visit is Zlatni Rat, situated just at a short distance from the coastal town of Bol.  Its spectacular beauty awarded the beach with the nickname of the Golden Cape or the Golden Horn, due to the shining gilded colour of the landscape.  Its peaked shape and turquoise waters have transformed Zlatni Rati into a vibrant tourist favourite, where the practice of exciting sports such as windsurfing, scuba diving or beach volleyball is highly encouraged.

The Sunj Beach, located in the Dalmatian Island of Lapud (the most astounding of the Elaphite Islands) has turned into a symbol of the Croatian summer.  While sunbathing, you can contemplate the 100 metres of sparkling white sand and crystalline waters; it’s wide vistas makes it the perfect holiday choice for those who travel with children,  providing a safer environment to build sandcastles or paddle in the surf.  After a relaxing time on the sunbeds, it is just a very short stroll to the cool and shady setting of the nearby restaurant Obala – a favourite amongst beach lovers, it offers a combination of traditional seafood and astounding views of the Adriatic.

Finally, Solaris Beach, located at a short distance from the village of Sibenik, brings all the magic of an desert island paradise to Croatia, thanks to its radiant waters and the majestic landscape surrounding the area.  Savour the delicious local food in the folkloric village, take time away from the beach to stroll around the nearby National Park and keep a sharp eye out for dolphins and seals splashing merrily in the Gulf of Kvarner.
