With New Year’s Eve coming up quickly, here are some ideas from around the world.

Atlantis, The Palm - Dubai

Travelers looking to end the year on a high note and welcome 2022 in style should head over to Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai for one of the most extravagant events in the world. The Atlantis Gala Dinner, ‘Rouge Edition’ includes a 30-piece live band, to underwater dining at the famous Ossiano and a spectacular fireworks display. The grand event kicks off at 7:30 pm and goes all night through 3:00 am which includes free-flowing champagne, a lavish buffet serving everything from lobster and caviar to shawarmas and more. Live cooking stations and a child-friendly buffet will also be offered. The Palm’s youngest travelers can enjoy their own party in the Asateer Tent featuring an ‘Under the Sea’ celebration with an enormous slide, bouncy castle, an outdoor cinema, game stalls, arts and crafts and much more.

ESPACIO The Jewel of Waikiki - Honolulu, Hawaii

Hawaii’s $5,000/night boutique luxury hotel and its French-Japanese culinary counterpart will host three individual celebrations on New Year’s Eve. A caviar and champagne toast will begin the evening on ESPACIO’s rooftop infinity pool deck at sunset ($199+) followed by 7- and 11-course tasting experiences ($499+ and $799+) by Mugen executive chef Jason Yamaguchi. Tastings include a flute of 1999 Cristal champagne, black and white truffles, and wine pairings from Mugen’s rare 500-bottle collection. Guests will have some of the best views of Honolulu’s annual midnight fireworks display, deployed directly across from the hotel on Waikiki Beach. Attendees will also enjoy a live DJ set and exclusive swag bag. Each event is limited to 22 guests.

ADERO Scottsdale - Scottsdale, Arizona

Watch stars, planets and galaxies light up the sky on New Year’s Eve from ADERO Scottsdale, the only certified Dark Sky Zone resort in the region. Guests can enjoy champagne toasts from 2,500 feet above the Sonoran Desert in intimate globes overlooking Arizona’s famed McDowell Mountain Range. The seasonal globes – known as The Village at SkyTop – offer guests a private four-course meal featuring dishes like winter lobster bisque, pan-roasted wagyu, and chocolate terrine alongside festive cocktails. Globes are staged under the stars and feature plush interiors by local designer Robin Halperin. CIELO, the resort’s second culinary concept, will offer additional options for New Year’s Eve and Day with an elevated vantage point of the dramatic desert landscape below. Menu items include organic chicken poulet, polenta cake with acorn risotto, Scottish salmon with braised turnips and wild mushroom arancini.

Surfjack Hotel & Swim Club - Honolulu, Hawaii

Boogie into the new year 80’s style at The Surfjack Hotel & Swim Club’s NYE Studio 54 extravaganza. True to its retro-Hawaii aesthetic, the hotel will be hosting a NYE celebration for guests and visitors ($54/person) at its ultra-instragrammable pool deck with complimentary champagne for toasting and a photobooth for the memories. Book the newly launched Society6 Penthouse (call 808-923-8882 to book), a shoppable suite experience in collaboration with local artists, to ring in the new year in style and comfort. Before the main event, grab a Winter Tale or Night Moves Cocktail from the seasonal holiday cocktail menu at Mahina & Sun’s and enjoy the ultimate New Year’s evening.

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar - Nassau, Bahamas

A quick flight from most southeastern U.S. states, the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar offers travelers a tropical yet close-to-home respite to ring in 2022. Guests can celebrate New Year’s Eve at the resort’s new Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House, helmed by six-time James Beard award-winning Chef Marcus Samuelsson, with a variety of packages. The five-course dinner package includes a pre-fixe five-course dinner (from $225/person) with Bahamian favorites like seafood platters, prime beef tartare, and chocolate hazelnut dacquoise, while the Marcus Up Top rooftop celebration package (from $250/person) includes an open bar, live music, and the best seat in the house to view the Baha Mar fireworks show over the water. 

W South Beach - Miami, FL

For New Year’s Eve, W South Beach will host a modern approach of the opera Madama Butterfly re-created by Marianna Vittoriosom, one of the opera’s most enduring tales of unrequited love. The restaurant and outdoor bar space, RWSB (Restaurant W South Beach) and Irma’s will be transformed into a Japanese garden and a Butterfly room where guests can dine surrounded by the show. The experience will include dancers, singers, a burlesque show moment, classical ballet and a live paint show flowing through the restaurant and bar space during the performance. The first dinner seating will begin at 6:30pm. The second dinner seating will begin at 9 PM and the show will begin at 9 PM. The bar area at Irma’s is first come first serve (no ticket required). Living Room Bar will have tables available for bottle service. The experience is available for locals, visitors and W South Beach guests. 

Angsana Corfu - Corfu, Greece

Angsana Corfu recently opened in Akra Punta, Corfu, Greece as Banyan Tree Group’s first-ever European property.   • New Year’s Eve Soiree at the Vista Rooftop- The best rooftop views in town remains unchallenged. Come and join an Adults Only, high energy rooftop lounge featuring Asian Cocktails, Bottle Service, and a live DJ for NYE starting at 7 p.m. Reservations will be required and there is a $50 entry fee.
  • New Year’s Eve Crafted Cocktails at the Piano Bar -  Engage with the House Mixologist as he concocts an array of his best molecular cocktails from the bygone year at 5 p.m. onwards, starting at $12 per cocktail.
  • Silent Night at the K’in Spa - Any 60-minute session is complimented with a mini facial. K’in Spa & Wellness Center dedicates many of their treatments to local experiences, drawing on the rich cultural heritage of Belize and using indigenous ingredients.

Villa La Estancia, Riviera Nayarit - Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico
