Carnival Unveils The Entertainment Lineup On Its New Ship

Carnival Cruise Line will introduce new entertainment on the Carnival Celebration, a ship due out in November.

The line's second Excellence-class ship will feature "The Most Magnificent Circus," a theatrical story about self-discovery and acceptance. The show will include popular musical hits and aerial performances using a trapeze, chandelier, hoop, ladder and mirrors.

The Celebration will also introduce "Color My World -- An Indie Rock and Pop Love Story." It's about a popular artist and his assistant who venture together on a journey about love through color and art. The show will include street jazz, hip-hop, musical theater and ballet as well as live painting on stage matched with music and choreography.

The show is put on by Playlist Productions, which will also present the "Celestial Strings" and "Amor Cubano" shows as well as Center Stage's festival-inspired "We Are One."

The ship will also introduce the Evolution dance party hosted by the ship's deejay.

In December, the Celebration will debut "Visual Symphony," a laser and light show with 16 high-tech, moving LED screens choreographed to classic rock music. The performance will take place in the Celebration Central atrium, a three-deck space.

In May, the Celebration will debut "Rio Carnival," a Brazilian celebration of music and dance. The show will feature cast performances of samba, bossa nova, marchinha, batudada, forro, carimbo and capoeira to famous Latin pop songs, in Portuguese and English.

Celebration will also introduce new game shows, including the trivia game, "What's Age Got to Do With It," featuring parents teaming up with their children; "Cash Bash," offering contestants a chance to win cash prizes by competing in interactive challenges; and a song-recognition game called "Guess that Groove."

Sailing out of Terminal F at Port Miami, the 5,374-passenger Celebration will sail seven-day cruises year-round to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, beginning November 21st.
