VistaJet Announces the Acquisition of JetSmarter

Top private aviation company VistaJet has recently announced its acquisition of JetSmarter. The move is set to make Vista Global the most technologically advanced, as well as the biggest private aviation groups in the sector.
It’s an important milestone for both companies and help to make the private jet charter service fully digitalised.

Acquisition will position VistaJet as leader in digital jet charter

The acquisition of JetSmarter is due to finalise in the second quarter of 2019. JetSmarter is a digital charter marketplace which was launched in 2012. Using the company’s digital platform, passengers can find and book private plane charters, all at the touch of a few buttons.

While the company initially became hugely successful, recently it has come under fire for charging thousands of pounds for a single seat on its flights. The acquisition will therefore look to improve the existing algorithms, improving the brand’s reputation and creating a much better and accurate booking experience.
Giving passengers a more seamless experience

One of the main aims of the acquisition, is to provide passengers with a more seamless booing experience. While VistaJet does provide some level of digitalisation and a huge choice of private jets to choose from, the JetSmarter platform is going to help boost its digital capabilities.

Its passengers will now be able to book a private jet of their choosing instantly online. It’s also going to introduce the company to a much wider customer base, with two million downloads of the JetSmarter app to date. VistaJet already boasts 150,000 passengers a year, so this acquisition will significantly boost its customer base. Passengers will be able to book a flight practically anywhere and at any time.

Boosting the company’s fleet

This acquisition is the second one the company has made recently. It also acquired XOJET, which gave VistaJet access to a smaller range of aircraft. This boosted the company’s offering, increasing it’s already 70-strong fleet to help it become the largest private aviation charter company in the sector.

No matter what type of jet customers are looking to book, they’ll find it within the VistaJet fleet. Private jet charter has become extremely popular in recent years. The lowered costs and added convenience make them more attainable to passengers, particularly within the business sector. Now, the acquisition of JetSmarter further boosts the brand’s accessibility, making its charter service more widely available to an increased number of passengers.

Overall, this recent acquisition is set to benefit both companies, as well as helping to make private jet charter easier and more convenient to book. VistaJet is leading the way in terms of digitalisation, taking the industry forward and providing advanced solutions to its passengers.
